Find the Right Treatment. With Guidance You Can Trust.

Personalized treatment navigation and family intervention services across the United States and Mexico. We help families understand their options, identify appropriate programs and navigate the next steps toward care.

Families pay us for our expertise. Treatment centers do not pay us for referrals.

Why families choose us

Guidance shaped by your family’s needs, not by commissions

Choosing treatment often happens under pressure, with little reliable information. We bring clinical experience, careful research and honest answers to one of the hardest decisions a family can face.

Individualized guidance

We start with your family’s situation, needs and preferences, not with a list of programs that need to fill beds.

Experience across facilities

Programs differ in admission criteria, philosophy, staffing and the patients they serve. We know what to ask on both sides of the border.

Paid by families, not facilities

No referral fees, commissions or placement incentives from any facility, and our founder’s role at Baja Rehab is disclosed up front.

Clear fees, written deliverables

Published prices, a signed agreement with defined scope and timelines, and written summaries you can keep.

“Families pay us for our expertise. Treatment centers do not pay us for referrals.”

Professional affiliation disclosure. Our founder currently holds a paid position at Baja Rehab (Rosarito, Baja California, Mexico). If Baja Rehab is ever considered for your family, we’ll disclose that relationship in writing and discuss comparable alternatives. Read our full disclosures.

Treatment options

The kinds of care we help families explore

Medical detoxification

Medically supervised withdrawal management when stopping a substance may be uncomfortable or unsafe. Detox is usually the first step, not complete treatment.

Residential addiction treatment

Live-in programs with structured daily therapy, medical oversight and peer support, typically lasting weeks to a few months.

Dual-diagnosis treatment

Integrated care for co-occurring substance use and mental health conditions, which requires genuine psychiatric capability on staff.

Psychiatric care

Psychiatric evaluation, medication management and, when needed, inpatient psychiatric stabilization.

Partial hospitalization (PHP)

Full days of treatment, usually five days a week, while living at home or in supportive housing.

Intensive outpatient (IOP)

Several hours of treatment a few days a week, often alongside work, school or family life.

Long-term residential programs

Extended stays, often three months or more, for people who need more time in a structured setting.

Aftercare & step-down services

Outpatient therapy, sober living, recovery support and relapse-prevention planning after a higher level of care.

The appropriate level of care and clinical suitability must be established by qualified professionals and the receiving provider. We help you understand the options and ask the right questions; we don’t diagnose or determine level of care.

United States & Mexico

Two countries, different systems

Neither country is automatically the better choice. What matters is how a specific program fits your loved one’s needs, your family’s circumstances and the law.

TopicUnited StatesMexico
Program availability A wide range of licensed programs at every level of care; availability and wait times vary by state and payer. Fewer licensed clinical programs. Options range from medically staffed facilities to informal centers, so verification is essential.
Treatment approaches Evidence-based therapies and medications for addiction are widely available, with care organized into defined levels. Approaches vary widely. Some programs follow clinical models similar to U.S. programs; others rely mainly on peer or 12-step models.
Insurance & payment Many programs accept private insurance, Medicaid or Medicare, subject to network and medical-necessity rules. Most programs are private-pay. U.S. insurance rarely covers treatment in Mexico; confirm any coverage in writing.
Regulation & licensing Programs are licensed by state agencies. Accreditation (for example, The Joint Commission or CARF) is voluntary. Addiction programs fall under federal health regulations, including the official standard NOM-028-SSA2-2009, with oversight by health authorities.
Admission & consent Admission typically follows a clinical assessment and the person’s consent. Court-ordered treatment exists only in some states, under specific legal processes. Mexican law emphasizes voluntary treatment and informed consent. Involuntary admission is limited to specific circumstances with legal safeguards.

Questions families ask

Frequently asked questions

What is treatment navigation?

Treatment navigation is professional guidance that helps families understand treatment options, identify programs that may fit their loved one’s needs, and coordinate the next steps toward care. We are not a treatment provider, and we don’t diagnose or treat anyone.

How is your company paid?

Families pay us directly for our time and expertise: $250 for a Family Consultation, $1,250 for Personalized Treatment Navigation, and from $3,000 for Family Intervention & Coordination, by individual quote. Our fees are not contingent on your loved one being admitted anywhere. See services and pricing.

Do treatment facilities pay you referral commissions?

No. We don’t accept referral fees, commissions, placement incentives or any other compensation from treatment facilities. Our founder holds a paid position at Baja Rehab; we disclose this in writing whenever Baja Rehab is considered. Read our disclosures.

Can our family choose its own facility?

Always. We provide information, comparisons and recommendations; the decision belongs to your family and, where required, to your loved one. We’re also happy to help you evaluate a program you’ve already found.

Can we use U.S. health insurance?

Our fees are not billed to insurance. For treatment itself, many U.S. programs accept insurance, depending on your plan, the provider’s network and medical-necessity rules. U.S. insurance plans rarely cover treatment in Mexico, although some reimburse part of out-of-network care. Always confirm coverage with your insurer in writing before admission.

What happens if our loved one refuses treatment?

It happens often, and it isn’t the end of the road. Adults generally have the right to refuse treatment, and involuntary treatment is possible only in limited circumstances under the law of the relevant state or country. It is never something a family or facility can simply authorize. We help families plan what comes next: keeping communication open, holding healthy boundaries, considering family-focused approaches such as CRAFT, and keeping treatment options ready. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911.
